Add/Update Product

Keeping your product list up to date is essential for running effective promotions and loyalty campaigns. This section will guide you through adding new products and updating existing ones in the DejavooExtra Merchant Portal—helping you manage your inventory with ease.

Important Update: While DejavooExtra supports automated product imports via service integration, this service is not yet available. However, you can manually create new product categories and add products.

Adding or Updating a Single Product

When adding a new product, you'll need to fill out details in three key sections:

1. Product Info

This section captures the essential details that define a product:

Field

Description

Product Name

The name of your product or service.

Product Status

Set as Active (available for loyalty transactions) or Inactive (not available as a loyalty purchase).

Publish Date

The date the product becomes available for loyalty transactions.

End Date

The date the product is no longer available for loyalty transactions.

SKU ID

The product’s Stock Keeping Unit or unique identifier.

Barcode

The product’s barcode (if applicable).

Product Type

Specify the type of product.

Purchase Type

Define how customers can buy the product.

Visibility

Choose where the product appears (WEB, IOS, Android).

Product Description

Add key details, including features, benefits and any relevant information to engage members.

2. Product Category

Categorizing your product correctly helps in organizing inventory and targeting specific product-based campaigns.

  • Product Category: Select the main category from the drop-down list.

  • Product Sub-Category: Choose the most relevant sub-category.

🚨 Note: Merchants can manually create new product categories if needed.

3. Pricing

From this field, you can define the pricing and loyalty eligibility of your product.

-Price: Set / edit the product’s price.

-Eligible for points: Specify whether customers on your loyalty program can earn points for purchasing this product.

-Eligible for discount: Indicate if the product qualifies for discounts.

-Pay with points: Choose whether to allow customers on your loyalty program to redeem loyalty points to purchase this product.

-Approved Product: You can create a product as a draft before making it public. Your product will become visible once you approve.

Note!

Required fields are indicated with a “*” sign.

Once you’ve completed all fields, click the "Create" to finalize your product setup. Then, you’ll be redirected to the Product List page, where you can simply click "Detail" under the "Action" column to review or update your product as needed. If any changes are required, make your adjustments and hit "Save" to lock them in.

Importing a Product List

If you manage a large inventory, the Import Product feature allows you to add or update multiple products in one go.

How to Import Products:

  1. Click the Import Product button.

  2. Download the product list template, which includes all required fields (identical to those used for single product creation).

  3. Fill in the template following the specified format. Some fields, like "Approved Product" or "Pay with Points" accept only "Yes" or "No" values.

  4. When ready, upload the completed file using the Import Product button.

Note:

The system will automatically validate your file and check for missing fields, incorrect formats, and duplicate entries. If any errors are found, a detailed on-screen message will show what needs to be corrected. Simply update your file and re-upload it.

Using the Import Product feature, you can effectively manage bulk updates or additions to your product list with ease, saving time and ensuring data accuracy.

Final Notes

  • Editing a Product? Click â€˜Detail’ under the â€˜Action’ column on the Product List page.

  • Need to make changes? Adjust any product details and click â€˜Save’ to apply updates.

  • Adding a new product or creating a new category? You can manually add products and create new product categories when needed.
