Points-Based Campaigns: Your Ultimate Guide
Points-based loyalty programs are one of the most effective ways to reward loyal members. Let’s dive into how you can set up and manage these campaigns on DejavooExtra Merchant Portal.
Watch our step-by-step video tutorial on Points Campaigns below to get started and maximize the potential of your campaigns!
Understanding Point-Based Campaigns
A point based campaign allows members to earn points for various actions such as making purchases, enrolling to the loyalty program. These points can later be redeemed for rewards such as discounts, special offers, or free products. By rewarding your customers with points, you encourage repeat purchases, increase engagement, and build long-term loyalty. Often, when members redeem their points, they make additional purchases, which can lead to higher sales.
To create a points-based campaign, follow these steps:
1. Enter Point Campaign Info
Enter your campaign's title, start date, end date, and hours. You can always extend the end date of your campaign later.

2. Select Earning Type
Since you have selected the points-based campaign, this field will offer you two options. You can either define an incremental or fixed & percentage of points.

-Points per Dollars Spent (Incremental Points): Reward customers with points, based on how much they spent. For example, members might earn 6 points for every $60 spent. This method encourages more frequent and higher spending, helping to drive continuous engagement.
-Fixed & Percentage Points: With this option, you can set a fixed number of points or a percentage of the purchase amount as points. For instance, members could earn 50 points per purchase or 10% of the total purchase amount in points. This approach provides clear, predictable rewards for specific actions.
-Most Rewarding Campaign: This function allows you to set the dominant rule for your active point campaigns. By choosing the "Most Rewarding Campaign" option, you ensure that while this point-based campaign is active, other campaigns of the same type (other point-based campaigns) will be temporarily paused. Once the "Most Rewarding Campaign" has expired, the paused campaigns will resume. For example, if you have multiple point-based campaigns running, selecting the "Most Rewarding Campaign" will pause the others, making this one the only active point-based campaign.
This is ideal for high-impact promotions like seasonal sales or major events. You can use this function where you want to have a campaign for a temporary period like Black Friday, Easter, etc.
Note!
When you create a new campaign and enable the Most Rewarding Campaign feature, it will automatically override any previous campaigns that were set as "Most Rewarding." Each time you select this feature for a new campaign, that campaign becomes the active rule, ensuring your customers always receive the most current and rewarding offer.
3. Set Point Activation
You can set a time when points become available to your members (real-time, daily, and weekly). Utilizing insights, set a time when you wish to enable points usage for your members. Here are definitions of the time options:

-Daily: Points become available at a specific hour each day.
-Weekly: Points become available on a specific day each week.
