The Products section in the DejavooExtra Merchant Portal empowers you to efficiently manage your inventory by allowing you to define, categorize, and update your products with comprehensive descriptions. This functionality not only supports the creation of product-targeted campaigns but also enhances the accuracy of product searches directly from your terminal screen. Additionally, your defined products are seamlessly integrated into POS devices, ensuring they are readily available for transactions and customer interactions.

Why is it important to exclude certain products from campaigns? 

Excluding certain products from campaigns may be required to uphold ethical standards and comply with legal regulations. Products such as alcohol, tobacco, and similar items can be managed to avoid promoting them to underage customers. Additionally, product exclusion allows you to prioritize higher-performing or in-demand items, maximizing returns and enhancing the overall impact of your campaigns by focusing on what drives better results.

What criteria should I consider when selecting products for a campaign? 

Consider the target audience, campaign objectives, product performance data, and customer preferences to select the most relevant products for your campaign. 

Is it necessary to define a product in the DejavooExtra Merchant Portal?

Yes, defining a product is essential to ensure it is available for selling with member benefits (with discounts or point) and included in your catalog within the DejavooExtra Merchant Portal. This step allows you to manage products that may not have been transferred from your POS device, and it also enables you to create product-targeted campaigns, enhancing your marketing strategies and sales opportunities.

Why can't I see my newly added product in the product list?

Please make sure you have provided all the required fields when creating the product. After clicking "Create", check if you receive any warning messages before leaving the page. If the issue persists, feel free to reach out to our support team at support@dejavooextra.com for further assistance.

The SKU ID I entered is not being accepted. What could be the issue?

Ensure that the SKU ID is unique and does not match any existing SKU in your inventory. If the issue persists, feel free to reach out to our support team at support@dejavooextra.com for further assistance.

Why does the product's publish date not match the date I set?

Check if there is a time zone difference between your local time and the system's time setting. Also, verify that the correct date and time were selected before saving the product.

Can I update defined products? 

Yes, you can update any product that has been previously defined. This includes changes to its name, category, price, and other attributes. 

What happens if I make a product’s status as "Inactive"?

Once a product is marked as inactive, it will no longer be available for sale or visible in your active inventory. However, historical transaction data will still reference the product, but it will be marked as inactive. This ensures that past records and reporting remain accurate without affecting your current product listings. 

How do I add a new product to the catalog?

Navigate to the "Products" section, click on "Add New Product", and fill out the necessary details, such as product name, SKU ID, and pricing. Ensure to set the status to "Active" and select the appropriate publish and end dates before saving.

How can I categorize my products?

When adding or editing a product, use the "Product Category" and "Product Sub Category" fields to assign the product to the correct category. This helps in organizing and filtering your product inventory.

Can I set a product to be eligible for points?

Yes, when adding or editing a product, make sure to set the "Eligible for Points" option to "Yes" under the "Product Pricing" section. This allows customers to earn points on purchases of that product.

How can I search for a specific product in my inventory?

Use the "Search" field in the "Filter" section to find a specific product by entering its SKU, product name, barcode number, or by their status (e.g., active/inactive). Once you've entered the search term, click on the "Search" button to view the results.

How do I update the price of an existing product?

To update the price of an existing product, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the "Products" section in the DejavooExtra Merchant Portal.

  2. Find and select the product you want to edit from the product list.

  3. In the "Action" column, click on the "Detail" button on the far right of the product row.

  4. Once you're in the "Product Detail" page, navigate to the "Product Pricing" section.

  5. Update the price in the "Price ($)" field.

  6. After making your changes, click the "Save" button to apply the updated price.

The new price will be reflected immediately in your inventory.

How can I download a report of my product list?

To download a report of your product list, navigate to the product management section and locate the "Export Report" button on the top right of the product list page. Clicking on this button will generate a downloadable report containing all the details of your products, including SKU ID, product name, status, category, price, and more. You can choose to download the report in either Excel or CSV format, allowing you to work with the data in your preferred file type.
